Overview

We did this one in combination with Pikey Peak. I don't think it's a trek many people know about — we just spotted it on the map and decided to explore. There isn't much written about it online, which is part of the appeal if you're after something a bit different from what everyone else is doing.

It's a fairly steep climb, and it ends at a holy lake. The tea house about halfway up was very new and genuinely comfortable when we went, which makes the trek a lot more accessible than it might otherwise be.

Good to know

You can do this as a round trip from Jiri. If you're heading up, go via the east side — that's where the tea house halfway up is. There isn't one on the west side, but it's fine to come back down that way in a single day.
